At m‑powered, we help organisations confidently, ethically and meaningfully collaborate with people with lived experience. Peer Leaders in our m-powered Strategic Collaboration Group have successfully completed our Peer Leadership Academy and are equipped to support a wide range of organisations.

Being an effective Peer Leader requires:

Strategic Collaboration Group (single session)

Recent work by Peer Leaders includes co-designing principles for the Choice Charter; exploring what ‘good looks like’ for care planning within the NHS App; understanding patient experience of language and terminology on NHS Online; exploring the role of advice and guidance at the Primary/Secondary Care interface. This involved:

Strategic Collaboration Group

Depending on the programme/project, it can be helpful to have more than one Strategic Collaboration Group session. Similarly, an organisation may want to commission our Lived Experience Managed Service on a call-off basis. We would be happy to discuss your requirements to offer a bespoke service tailored to the specific needs of your organisation, programme or project.

Speaker Finder

Our speaker finder service includes identifying a Peer Leader with relevant lived experience to speak at events, conferences, staff training days and more, organising travel and accommodation (as required), and promptly reimbursing the Peer Leader.

Individual Peer Leader involvement

Organisations/programmes/projects can benefit by ensuring Peer Leaders are integral to their governance arrangements. Peer Leaders have a key role to play on Boards, steering and advisory groups, interview panels and more.

Training and Workshops

Our main function is to provide a bridge between Peer Leaders and Organisations so they can collaborate meaningfully, confidently and authentically. Where this requires some organisational groundwork, we can offer bespoke workshop sessions for team members.
